Windley Wade Tatom, 85, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Windley was born on February 18, 1937. He graduated from Troy High School and retired from the Alabama Highway Department (Department of Transportation) after 38 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Windley Hendrick Tatom and Flora Kimbol McQuagge Tatom, and son, Windley Earl Tatom. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Mitchell Tatom, daughters Sherry K. Tatom, of Birmingham, Dawn A. Free (Billy) of Montgomery, and Dana A. Cobb of Fairhope; grandson, Joshua M. Folmar (Rebecca) of Radford, VA and great-grandchildren, Judah Melvin Folmar and Renata Anne Folmar of Radford, VA.
No services will be held at his request; memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Cancer Center, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, AL 36106 or the Troy Animal Rescue Project (T.A.R.P.), 34 County Road 2266, Brundidge, AL 36010.
