Mr. William Lacoe "Billy" Stallings, age 57, of Troy passed away, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Troy Regional Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. A graveside service for Mr. Stallings will be on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor John Clark and Pastor Bo Weed officiating. Visitation will be at Green Hills Funeral Home on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Stallings retired from the US Postal Service after 33 years and retired from the Alabama National Guard after 30 years. Mr. Stallings was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, Lacey Lamar Stallings, his mother Elizabeth Tompkins Stallings; three sons David Stallings, Joseph Stallings, and Justin Stallings all of Troy. Two daughters Paige (Jason) Posey of Dothan, Lacee Stallings of Troy; one brother Richard Lamar Stallings of Troy, one sister Linda Diane (Wayne) Bloodsworth of John's Creek, GA and six grandchildren. Donations in his honor can be sent to the St. Jude Cancer Research Center. Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Stallings family.
