William Morrison

William Lamar Morrison, age 84, of Troy, AL., passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013. Funeral services for Mr. Morrison will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Arnold officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and burial will be in the Green Hills Veterans Garden.

Mr. Morrison served in the Korean War and retired from the National Guard in Troy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Byrdene Morrison; his parents, John William and Cora White Morrison; three sisters, Tessie Schofield, Winnie Merle Gibson and Mary Lizzie Norris; and one brother, Huey Morrison.

He is survived by three step-daughters, Wanda Penton (Ricky), Linda Hinton (Kriss) and Patricia Tew (Chad); as well as two grandchildren, Kristy Hinton and Josh Penton. He is also survived by several nieces.
