Tommy Lowell Manns, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024. A memorial service will be at 11:00am on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Ansley Baptist Church.
One of ten children, Tommy grew up in Ohio and work as a machinist for Boeing. Tommy moved to Troy, Alabama, with his wife and worked as a realtor and property manager. Tommy's heart overflowed with love for his family, his country, and his church. He shared his faith passionately. Not only was he a dedicated evangelist and musician, but his love for his family was evident in every aspect of his being. Tommy's warmth and kindness touched the hearts of many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Tina Manns, Tommy leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished forever. He is also survived by his children: Michael A. Manns, Michelle Wills (Bernie), Amanda Manns, Matthew Manns, Tommy J. Newland Jr., Sheila Chontos (Michael), Jessica Newland, and Christine Conner (Daniel). Additionally, Tommy is survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons, his brother Russell Manns (Pat), and his sister, Berniece Ratliff (Gene), along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ethel Manns, and seven siblings.
A celebration of Tommy's life will be held at a later date to honor his memory and the impact he had on those around him.
