Terry Allen Brady

Terry Allen Brady, age 72, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Green Hills Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Green Hills Chapel with Reverend Donnie Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandfield Cemetery.

Terry was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting “Grandeddy”. Terry was always willing to lend a helping hand and would never say no to family and neighbors. Terry was known for his ability to fix almost anything. He was skilled in electrical work, repairing appliances, and overseeing any projects friends or family needed. He was an avid fisherman and known to be the “child-whisperer”. Being a “Grandeddy” was the highlight of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Smith Brady; his daughter, McKenzie and husband, Daniel Wilson; his son, Clifton Brady; his grandson, J.D. and his wife, Allyson Wilson; and granddaughter, Allyn Wilson. He is also survived by his siblings, Patsy (R.A.) Goodson, Brenda (Donnie) Dunn, Tim (Lori) Brady; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Brady, Mamie (Rhett) Brantley, Jean Smith Dyess, and mother-in-law, Ella Ree Cauley along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce Brady; fathers-in-law, James Henry Smith and Johnny Cauley; brother, Wayne Brady; and brother-in-law, Bill Smith.

Serving as pallbearers are Micheal Goodson, Nick Brady, Chris Brantley, Brady Dunn, B.J. Dyess, Mat Dyess, Paul Cox, Justin Brady, and honorary pallbearers, Mark Goodson and Kevin Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandfield Cemetery Fund. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the kindness of Dayspring Hospice. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Brady family.
