Sherman Stafford

Sherman Windall Stafford, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the age of 75. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Green Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:00am at Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Dustin Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Veteran’s Park with military honors. Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Price, Dakota Stafford, Mason Shaffer, Matthew Morrow, Caleb Jones, and Joshua Shaffer.

Sherman was a faithful member of Bush Memorial Baptist Church. He honorably served in the US Army and the US Air Force for several years. Sherman was a family man and could be found at almost every event his children or grandchildren were involved. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time watching Alabama football and yelling Roll Tide! Sherman was a kind, caring man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Miriam Stafford; and his sister, Marsha Stafford. Loving survivors include his devoted wife of 46 years, Janiece Stevens Stafford; children, Craig Stafford (Becky), Angie Folkes (Chris), Shaniece Shaffer (Justin); grandchildren, Alex Folkes, (Matthew Morrow), Anna Price (Caleb Jones), Ryan Price, Madison Folkes, Mason Shaffer, Briana Shaffer, Dakota Stafford; and a great grandbaby due soon.
