Ronald Carlisle

Ronald J. Carlisle, age 71 of Troy died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his home. Ronald graduated from Goshen High School in 1965. He began selling insurance in 1968 and sold for over 37 years for what is now American General Insurance. Ronald was a member of God's Way Baptist Church. He was a devoted family man who loved his wife, daughter and grandsons more than anything in this world. He also was a musician  and in his younger days could be found with the Rushing family playing the guitars at various events.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend J. Craig Holmes officiating. Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held at Green Hills Funeral Home Friday, October 13, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.  Friends should gather at the cemetery at 12:45 Saturday.

Survivors include; wife of 50 years, Barbara Carlisle of Troy, Daughter, Amy Carlisle Brown of Troy, grandsons, Braxton Dewayne Brown, Denton Andrew Brown and Slade Mitchell Brown, his sister, Donna Kay Taylor. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Carlisle Brown.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis , TN. 38105 or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 7011 Fulton Court, Montgomery, Al. 36117.
