Robert Hillman Clements

Robert Hillman "Hill" Clements, 88, of Pine Level, Alabama, passed away at his home, Clements Ranch, on September 5, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Level Baptist Church, with Rev. Bob Dempsey and Rev. Carrol Andrews officiating. 

Following college, Hill Clements worked with NASA as a research mathematician at Langley in Hampton, Virginia, and taking classes with a professor from MIT. As a lifelong learner, Hill became a teacher and school administrator, mostly in Montgomery, AL. Upon retirement, he expanded his ranching to include showing and raising cutting horses and cattle. Some of his favorite memories were the friendships he made as a rancher. He was a faithful church member and deacon at Pine Level Baptist Church. Hill enjoyed spending time with his family as well as his church family. He was a kind, benevolent friend and will be missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Genie Edwards Clements and Robert Penn Clements of Pinkard, AL, and his brother, Bobby Gene Clements of Milton, FL. 

Survived by his wife of 68 years, Dollie Nuckolls Clements; son, Rob Clements (Dee Morrison Clements); grandchildren, Whitney Taylor Clements Phaturos (Richard Taylor Phaturos) and Lauren Ashton Clements Harris (John Gaskell Harris); great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie Croy, Madeleine Grace Croy, Taylor Elizabeth Croy, James Hill Harris, and Lottie Jane Harris. Extended family members include Jenny King Holman (Merritt Holman), Haden Holman Paine, Rosemary Clark Josey (Charles Josey), Nettie Ruth Gray Edwards, John Burgess (Angela Burgess), Kristie Christian (Kenny Christian), Brittany Jordan Payton (Jordan Payton), Breanna Jordan Donahey (Jacob Donahey), Alex Christian Halterman (Tyler Halterman).
