Elizabeth “Betty” Marcella Perich, age 89, of Troy, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Perich was born and raised in Bethel Park, PA and later moved to Orlando, FL in 1960, then to Marco Island in 1972 and in the late 80s moved to Troy. She loved arts and crafts, and she is most remembered for her birdhouses, paintings, and pinecone ducks. She also was an avid shell collector, trolling the beaches of Marco Island almost every night. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma Scharfetter; brothers, Albert and Howard, and sister, Dorothy. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Michael Perich; son, Gregg Perich; grandchildren, Shannon Perich and Kellyn Perich; brother, George; sisters, Lois and Evellyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Hilma Bagley.
