Owen Lewis

Owen Wayne Lewis, our vibrant, loving son and brother, went to Heaven on Thursday, April 28th, 2022. Services will be on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Green Hills Funeral Home with an outdoor visitation at 10:00am followed by a Celebration of Owen’s Life at 11:00am.

Owen loved life and did everything with full intentions. He attended preschool at Collegedale Christian School and enjoyed playing with his friends, especially JP. He was kind to others and never met a stranger, always offering a sweet smile and big hug. Owen loved playing outside and riding his “cool” bike with Daddy, his forever best friend. He loved watching dinosaur cartoons, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Spidey and Friends, and Encanto. It was his daily routine to run into the house after school and ask for fruit snacks (hoop-snacks) and loved popcorn (pop-coke) as his favorite special treat. Owen touched the hearts of so many and was loved by all who met him. He will be missed so much.

Owen is survived by his parents, Onick and Heather Lewis; his siblings, Emily, Olivia, Avery, and Eden Lewis along with his bonus brother Jordyn Bailey. Also surviving him are his grandparents, Vickie Allman of Glenville, WV, Kenneth and Martha Allman of Murphy, NC, and Owen and Novlett Lewis of Washington, DC by way of Jamaica. Owen is also survived by his aunts, Peta-Gay and Renee Lewis; as well as many cousins and extended family members who loved him.

The family has kindly asked that those wishing to attend the visitation and celebration of life dress casually. Feel free to wear something blue, in honor of Owen’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of the following to help the family make sure Owen’s legacy lives on forever.
