Mrs. Killingsworth was a lifetime resident of Pike County, born and raised in the Mossy Grove Community. She dedicated 25 years as a payroll accountant for Troy University and was a longtime, active member of Bush Memorial Baptist Church. She is fondly remembered for her fancy of shopping and accessorizing; for her enjoyment of flowers; and her homemade dinners made fresh from the kitchen. She enjoyed traveling, seeing the sights from Alaska to Nova Scotia, and from Canada to Hawaii and far beyond. She lived fully, she loved richly, and she is cherished deeply.
Mrs. Killingsworth was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cobb and sister, Ann Starling. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Horace Killingsworth; daughter, Donna Dickert (Ken) of Valley, AL; grandchildren, Wes Dickert of Columbus, GA, and Wade Dickert of Memphis, TN; brother, Jimmy Cobb (Carolyn) of Troy, AL; sister-in-law, Hilda Green of Montgomery, AL; nephew, Keith Starling of Birmingham, AL; nieces, Melissa Bailey of Montgomery, AL, and Lisa Hudley of Mobile, AL; and special caregiver, Joyce Prescott.
In addition to flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Bush Memorial Baptist Church. Family and friends can sign the guest book and order flowers at www.greenhillsfuneralhome.net. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Killingsworth family.
