Michael Ray Phelps

Michael Ray Phelps, age 67, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024.  A memorial service will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Green Hills Funeral Home.  

Mike served in the US Army for 16 years, after which he settled in Northwest Florida near the beach, his favorite place. One of his favorite hobbies was restoring antique Ford Mustangs. He loved his family and Alabama football – Roll Tide!  Throughout his life, he enjoyed the companionship of many Boston Terriers and leaves behind young Elvis.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Loving survivors include his mother, Elaine Phelps; daughters, Lori Bowden (Andy), Susan Whitfield (Paul); grandchildren, Alora McCormack (Greg), Brett Bowden (Emily), Clover Whitfield, Gabriel Whitfield; great grandson, Koen McCormack; siblings, Cathy Mitchell, David Phelps (Angel), Teresa Colvin (Ronnie); and best friend, Everett.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Phelps.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Relay for Life. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Phelps family.
