Michael David Adkins, Sr., age 66, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 following a brief illness and recent diagnosis of lung disease. Michael grew up in Jonesboro, Georgia but made Brundidge, Alabama his home for many years. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at God's Way Baptist Church, 1100 Elba Hwy, Troy, AL, 36079.
Michael was a “jack” of all trades who could build and fix almost anything. He loved to cook and bake and was known all around for his famous BBQ sauce, a secret recipe of spices with his own designer label. He was always up for a good karaoke night and would sport his favorite hat as the local urban cowboy. He loved the ocean and exploring the underwater world. He was a devoted father and a loving husband and will be missed by everyone.
Survivors include his wife, Tabitha L. Adkins; son, Michael D. Adkins, Jr; brother, Fredrick Adkins (Deborah); and sister, Karen Foster. He was predeceased by his mother, Alta P. Adkins; his father, Charles E. Adkins; and sister, Gail Anderson.
