Maureen Michel Stanton

Maureen Michel Stanton passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, after an extended illness. She grew up on Long Island, New York, and then moved south to Florida until 2013, when she moved to Troy to live near her son.  Maureen enjoyed bowling and was involved in many leagues through the years and taught her children how to bowl when they were young.  She served as Girl Scout Troop Leader and was always ready to do some crafts.  During the years she worked as a hairdresser, worked in many bowling centers,  and she retired while working as a mortgage loan officer.   She will be missed by all who knew her.
Loving survivors include her sons, Kenneth Shoemaker (Tina), Richard Oellrich Jr. (Antoinette); ten grandchildren, Eric, Imani, Heather, Savannah, Corbin, Mckenzie, Michael, Raven, Aiden, and Dakota; 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Deborah Austin (Warren); her brother, Albert Michel Jr. (Nora), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Richard Oellrich Sr.; her parents, Albert Michel and Catherine Donohue Michel; her husband, Edwin Andrew Stanton; daughters, Keri Ann Fraley, Tracy Barnette; grandsons, Zechariah Edwin Charles Oellrich, Eddie Sanders; and granddaughter, Kaylie Squicciarino.
