Marcia Gorman

Marcia Elizabeth Phillips Gorman, age 66, of Lagrange, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was born October 13, 1948, in Brundidge Alabama, to the late Tom and Marilyn Phillips. She is survived by her sons, Bart Gorman and wife Paula, and Ryan Gorman and wife Brandi; four grandchildren Elijah, Elissa, Evan and Blake; and many friends and church family.

Marcia was a resident of Lagrange, GA, 41 years where she worked as a pediatric lab tech for Dr. Almond and later a dorm counselor for Lagrange College. Marcia was an active member of Grace Baptist Church where she was involved in the WMU, the Seniors’ Group, and Ladies of Grace. Marcia was an active member of the Eastern Stars and supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. Marcia was a loving and giving person and touched many lives along her path. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Green Hills Funeral Home of Troy, Alabama, directing. A graveside service will be in Troy, Alabama, at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. central time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Building Fund of Grace Baptist Church. Friends and family can sign the guestbook online at www.greenhillsfuneralhome.net.
