Lisle Katherlin Borom, LTC U.S. Army Reserves, retired, age 64 of Los Lunas, New Mexico died at home on Saturday, April 28th. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Borom and Easter Lilly Curtis Borom. Services will be held Thursday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Joe Bush officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Lisle was a graduate of Baylor University School of Nursing and received a Masters Degree in Community Health Education from the University of New Mexico. In addition to her career in the U.S. Army she served as a nurse in a variety of capacities including drug and alcohol treatment programs through the VA, Red Cross instructor training and school nurse. A lifelong animal lover, Lisle enjoyed training and showing miniature horses, as well as playing the guitar and omni-cord. She also enjoyed sports including snow skiing, snowboarding and sailing. She attended Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church in Peralta, New Mexico.
She is survived by her sister Linda (Chuck) Agar, nephews Karl (Danita) Agar and Alan (Crystal) Agar, niece Lori (Greg) Lein, numerous great nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend and caregiver Barbara Springer.
