Lillian Faulkner

Lillian Castleberry Faulkner, age 87, of Augusta, Georgia, formerly of Troy, Alabama, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Turvin officiating. A private burial will follow in Hinson Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Faulkner was born and raised in the Needmore community of Pike County, Alabama, and committed most of her adult life to service in her community. She was a loyal homemaker and mother figure to her husband’s younger siblings, a devout servant and attendant to many ministries at Murphy Chapel United Methodist Church, and a faithful textile worker at the local factories for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Faulkner is survived by her sister, Sara Spivey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Gillis Faulkner; brother, Wiley Mack Castleberry; and sister, Mary Nell Smith.
