Lavada Maxine Brown

Lavada Maxine Pinckard Brown, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, April 8, 2024.  A private family graveside will be held later.  

Our flower-loving, gardening, mother will be missed.  One could find her cooking for the family or out in her flower beds getting them ready for the summer.  Maxine loved her grandchildren and thought the world of her great grandchildren.  She grew up at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and spent her lifetime in the community.  She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas & Carolyn Pinckard.  Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years, L.A. Brown; children, Allen Brown (Karen), Angie Folmar (Dale); grandchildren, Kristofer Brown (Ashley), Caleb Brown (Rebecca); great grandchildren, John Shannon, Samuel and Bentley; brother, Tony Pinckard, sisters, Brenda Mills and Vicki Davis (Boone).
