Larry Roten

Larry Eugene Roten, 67, of Pine Level, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022.  Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Friday, June 3, 2022, at The Whippoorwill, 1201 Old Barnes Rd., Mathews 36052.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Bob Dempsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery.

Larry, otherwise known as “Big Red”, loved life and loved people.  You could find him on his best day hunting or fishing in the creeks and ponds all over south Montgomery County.  Folks from all around would call him about building cabinets or doing some woodworking, and they were always pleased with his work.  Big Red was always happy, could tell a story or make a witty remark, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Loving survivors include his wife, Cindy Roten; daughter, Karen Bragg (Jared); mother, Jeneal Roten; his brother, Mike Roten (Anita); and his sister, Kathy East (Philip).  He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Roten and his father, C.J. Roten.
