Johnny Hughes

Johnny Mack Hughes, age 67, of Goshen, Alabama, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, at his home. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Elders officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Kris Stephens, David Stephens, George Oswald, Jeremiah Kendrick, Josh Hughes, Louie Lincoln, Nick Blankenship, and Mark Calhoun serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 7, 2016, from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hughes dedicated 23 years of service to the City of Montgomery. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Pike County where he could spend his days doing what he loved most: hunting, fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and cheering on the Crimson Tide. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ruby Hughes; two brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie Hughes; children, Angela Dawn Hughes, David Aaron (Hillary) Hughes, Jason Mitchell (Stephanie) Hughes, and Johnny Brandon (Kayla) Hughes; grandchildren, Robert Swearengin, Mercadez Swearengin, Gracy Hughes, Hailey Hughes, Laney Hughes, Addison Hughes, River Hughes, and Layke Hughes; three brothers; and two sisters.
