Joan Martin

Joan Nelson Martin , age 74 of Troy died Friday, December 21, 2018 in Troy. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She was born in Coffee County to the late Holly and Eunie Mae Rogers Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Martin Jr.

A funeral service for Joan Martin will be held Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Henderson. Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Her survivors include; her children, Wayne Martin of Troy and Sandra (Joe) Wood of Troy, her grandsons, Zack and Connor Wood of Troy, her sister, Janie (Phillip) Little, Troy, Durwood (Sue) Nelson of Elba, Waylon Nelson of Elba and James (Glenda) Nelson of Elba.

Serving as her pallbearers will beZack Wood, Connor Wood, Brandon Little, Michael Little, Kevin Russell and Ryan Nelson. Her brothers and sister will be her honorary pallbearers.
