Jerry Stokes

Jerry Lee Stokes, age 65, of Troy, Alabama, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 7, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Leon Cemetery in Dozier, Alabama. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Norton, Jared Miles, Robert Allen, Donnie Head, Levi Tansey, and Dillon Roberts.

Mr. Stokes was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia Lee and Laura Francis Horn Stokes. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Geraldine Sullivan Stokes; children, Pamela (William) Lockhart, Frankie Dobbs, Christina Baker, Tammy (Robert) Allen, Terry Stokes, and Lisa Rico; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Laura Elsey (Johhny) Wilson, and Audrey Crowe.
