James Smith

Rev. James Edwin Smith, age 72, of Troy, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at his residence.  Funeral services for Rev.  Smith will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of Praise AOG Church in Troy, with Rev. David Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Rev. Smith was licensed in 1957 and ordained into the ministry in 2000 with the Assemblies of God Church.  He was the pastor of Cathedral of Praise AOG church in Troy.
Rev.  Smith was preceded in death by his father, Joe Smith and his mother, Frankie Smith.  He is survived by his wife, Mary H. Smith; two sons, Randy Smith (Selina), Ronnie Smith (Jill); two daughters, Pam Morries (Curtis), Anita Kunkle (Drew); two brothers, Terry J. Smith, Paul L. Smith; three grandchildren, Justin Morries, Jordan Morries and McKenzie Smith.
