James Mullis

James “Red” Mullis, age 87 of Troy, Alabama, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m., Monday, May 28, 2012, at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Rev. John Clark officiating. Visitation will be at Green Hills Funeral Home two hours prior to the service Monday.

Mr. Mullis was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church in Troy, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Pelphrey.

Mr. Mullis is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Mullis; one son, Jim Mullis; one daughter, Penny Dees; one sister, Joyce Stephens and three grandchildren; Wiley Dees, Whitlee Mullis and Jay Mullis.

Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Mitchell, Homer Reeves, William Fannin, William White, James Motes, Red Oliver, Lamar Stallings and Hubert Davis.

The family requests contributions be made to Southside Baptist Church in his honor.
