James Junior Johnson, age 84, of Troy, Alabama, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held Sunday, July 15, 2012, at 4 p.m., at the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Don Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Johnson will be held two hours prior to the service at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Johnnie Mae Johnson; three sons Whalley (Ann) Johnson and Don Johnson, both of Troy, Alabama, and Johnny (Cindy) Johnson of Palm Coast, Florida; one daughter, Janet (Thomas) Johnson of Moreland, Georgia; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers Donald (Ruby) Johnson, Billy (Edna) Johnson and Ronnie (Jean) Johnson; three sisters Agnes (Talmadge) Smart, Shirley Jones and Patricia (Randy) Walters, all of Montgomery, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents Foncer and Minnie Lee; a daughter-in-law Ann W. Johnson; son Larry Johnson; three brothers Johnny Johnson, Randall Johnson and Doyle Johnson; one sister Virginia Eggers; and one infant grandson Chase Johnson.
