Hezzie Junior “Shug” Faulkner

Mr. Hezzie Junior Faulkner, age 78, of Goshen passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Faulkner will be Friday, April 30, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Tedder and Rev. Jim Smith officiating and his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.

Mr. Faulkner was a lifelong resident of Pike County and a member of the Cathedral of Praise Assembly of God Church in Troy. He is preceded in death by his parents Hezekiah and Lurlean “Annie” Faulkner; siblings John, Leon, Tommy and Donald Ray Faulkner; two children Sharon Oakes and Johnny Faulkner; and one grandchild Brady Dillard. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean Scarbrough Faulkner; children Christine Dillard of Troy, Margaret Faulkner of Millbrook, Ann (Don) Qualls of Huntsville, Marcia (Gary) Hester of Troy, Jeannie (Mike) Tedder of Bartow , Florida, Grace (Bob) Warr of Clayton, Wendy (Jason) Easterling of Millbrook, daughter-in-law Kim Faulkner of Goshen, son-in-law Ricky Oakes, and John Dillard of Troy; 20 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include siblings Mary “Sis” Harris of Troy, Louise Ward of Montgomery, Bro. Curtis and Henry Faulkner of Troy, and Jane Hester of Greenville.
