Gene Campbell

Gene Michael Campbell, age 66 of Troy died Friday, June 1, 2018. Gene loved to grill for his family and friends. He was hard working, unselfish and loved his family. Gene was a 1970 graduate of Brantley High School and a 1974 graduate of Troy State University.  An avid sportsman, Gene loved all types of sports and his Auburn Tigers.

Funeral services for Gene Campbell will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend D.L. Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday,  June 5, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home.

His survivors include; wife of 43 years, Janet Whaley Campbell of Troy, son and daughter in law, Jason Michael and Cate Campbell of Troy, his grandchildren, Ava Campbell and Max Campbell, brother and sister in law, Bill and Jean Campbell of Montgomery, sisters and brothers in law, Christine and Paul Rooks of Pinson, Jeanell and D.L."Roby" Roberson of Athens, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Comer Campbell and Bertha Wright Campbell Kelsoe, brother and sister in law, Donald Ray and Barbara Campbell.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Helms, Jeffrey Johnson, Edward Jackson, Rob Moseley, Wade Griggs and Paul Rooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Ty Boatner, Larry Gardner and Don Jeffrey.
