Mrs. Elna (Harrell) Reynolds Fredrick, age 96, a resident of Troy Health and Rehab, died peacefully Wednesday,January 18,2017, at 1:00 P.M.
Mrs. Elna was born August 12, 1920, to the late Eugene Augustus (Gus) Harrell and Alma Pauline (Ryals) Harrell. She lived in the Monticello community most of her life and later moved to Troy where she enjoyed working in her flower garden and cooking. She was a devoted mother to her family and was a helper to anyone in need. She was a member of Bush Memorial Baptist Church in Troy.
Mrs. Elna was preceded in her death by her late husband of 30 years, Joe Wheeler Reynolds and husband A.B. Fredrick of 32 years, one sister Wonnie Mae (Harrell) Meredith, and one brother James Franklin Harrell.
Survivors include; two sons, Raymond Clark (Pam) Reynolds and James Richard (Diane) Reynolds, one stepdaughter, Margene (Olin) Laney, four grandsons, Ray (Kim) Reynolds, Chris (Sandra) Reynolds, Richard (Tanya) Reynolds, and Steven (Elizabeth) Reynolds, one step-grandson, Keith (Regina Hendrix) Laney,two step-granddaughters, Lisa (Bill) Wood and Janet (Ray) Bennett, 10 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great- grandchildren and 5 step-great-great-grand children.
Visitation will be at Green Hills Funeral Home, Sunday, January 29, 2017, at 1:00 P.M., Pastor Dwayne Norman will officiate the service beginning at 2:00 P.M.with burial to follow at the Ramah Primitive Baptist Church near Josie.
The family requests memorials be made to the Ramah Memorial Cemetery Trust, c/o Averyt Walker 2104 County Road 6631, Banks,AL 36005.
