Elmar Jean Snoddy, age 85, of Troy died Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Montgomery. Elmar Jean Snoddy was a strong Christian with a love for people, a heart for giving and missions, and was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 40 years. A lifelong educator, she taught school at Banks and Pike County Elementary schools for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Caddy and Reverend Andrew Knick officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her her husband James E. Snoddy Jr. and her parents, WD "Skeet" and Agnes Senn. Survivors include; children, Ann and Mike Sluga of Plant City , Fl., Bill and Gail Snoddy of Titusville, Fl., grandchildren, Jason and Tina Caddy, Mathew Caddy, Troy Snoddy, Jessica and Ross Fengfish, Allison and Robert Rorex, Amanda Sluga, Patrick and Melissa Sluga, great grandchildren, Zac, Luke, Shaina and Jesse Caddy, Anna and Wyatt Fengfish, Clark Rorex, Bryson , Carlen and Dalton Sluga, Madeleine Sluga, brother, Edge Senn, Sisters, Geraldine Hudson of McMinnville, Oregon, Linda and Billy Joe DeRamus of Troy. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Ricks, Heath DeRamus, Troy Snoddy, Luke Caddy, Jesse Caddy, Johnny Witherington, John Davis and Bill Snoddy.
