Douglas Hughes

Douglas Mack Hughes, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the age of 76. Visitation will be on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Green Hills Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 11:00am at Center Ridge UMC Cemetery in Spring Hill. Pallbearers will be Shannon Hughes, Tye Hughes, Chad Hughes, Chris Oliver, Collin Jordan, Bob Parker, Landon Parker, Carter Parker; and honorary pallbearers will be  Rex Grant, Brady Hughes, Danny Thompson, and the Spring Hill Volunteer Fire Department.

Douglas was born August 16, 1945, in Coffee County to the late John Golden and Ida Mae Odom Hughes. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sybilene Benton, Carolyn Gulledge, and Johnnie Mae Johnson; and his brothers, Charles Hughes, Selma Hughes, and Drexel Hughes. Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 51 years, Nina Hughes; his children, Eric Hughes (Alison) and Kim Parker (Bob); 3 grandchildren, Carter Parker, Landon Parker, and Brady Hughes; a brother and 5 sisters, Marion Hughes (Martha Ann), Ruby Doris Johnson (Donald), Edna Nell Johnson, Sharon Hutcheson, Ruby Nell Hutchinson (Randy), Lisa Jordan (Mark); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
