Dorothy Lee Berry

Dorothy Lee Berry was born to the late Willie Henry Berry and Lakie Brundidge Berry on August 31, 1931, in Pike County, Alabama. On Monday, October 31, 2022, she closed her eyes to eternal rest. Dorothy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at an early age. Dorothy was an active member of the Eastern Star. She also served her community as a volunteer poll worker. She enjoyed helping her community. Dorothy had a very loving, understanding and supportive spirit, especially when it came to her granddaughter (Jene). Dorothy's favorite past time was working her word puzzles, reading the newspapers, playing bingo and watching the Price Is Right.  A memorial service will be at 11:00am on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Green Hills Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Henry Berry and Lakie Brundidge Berry and five sisters: Myrtle Lee Ryles, Ollie Mae McBride, Jewel Leverette (JW), Annie Mae Dunn (Wesley), Ethel B. Berry, and one brother Leamon Berry (Eula Pearl). She leaves to cherish her loving son, Thomas Berry (Jerelyn); one grandchild, Jene Johnson (Vance); one devoted sister, Lucille Wright (Homer); one brother, Clifford Berry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her smile.
