Doris White Oliver, 87, of Tifton, formerly of Troy, Alabama, died Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Green Hills Cemetery at 1621 U.S. Hwy. 29 in Troy, Alabama.
Mrs. Oliver was born on Feb. 10, 1937, in Elba, Alabama, to William Chapel White and Mattie Ducker White, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Barton Oliver, who died Sept. 24, 2003.
Mrs. Oliver was the owner and operator of Jewelers’ Showcase in Troy, Ala. She and her husband also owned and operated the Holiday Inn restaurant in Tifton, GA for a number of years.
Mrs. Oliver is survived by four children, Dwana Coleman (Rob), Lisa Cox (Daniel) and Robbie Oliver (Greg), all of Tifton and Rob Oliver of Cordele. She is also survived by grandchildren Jay Coleman (Pam) and Lee Coleman, all of Tifton, Paige (Dylan) and Clay Oliver (Anna), both of Cordele, and Desire’ Amling of Pennsylvania. Her great- grandchildren are Hunter Coleman (Slaton) and Trey Coleman, both of Tifton, Devin Amling of Pennsylvania and Kaylee Amling of California.
She is also survived by two beloved fur babies, Coco and Gigi.
