Doris Floyd

Doris Peacock Floyd, age 77, from Troy, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Mack Lowery officiating.  Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Wayne Hall, her husband, Carter Wayne Floyd and her father, James Corbie Peacock.  She is survived by her mother, Bessie Kate Peacock Wood of Troy; sisters, Iris Wright of Wetumpka, Arlene Davis (Max) of Troy; brothers, Rayford Peacock (Sara) of Montgomery, Neil Peacock (Dianne) of Prattville, and Wayne Peacock (JoAnn) of Eclectic; step-sons, David Floyd (April) of Huntsville,  C. Wayne Floyd, Jr. (Holly) of Overland Park, Kansas; step-daughters, Lawanda Everage (Thad) of Huntsville and Barbara Floyd of Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frazier United Methodist Church, 6000 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117 to the Shannon W. Hall Memorial or to The Compassionate Friends, 3714 Dresden Ct., Montgomery, Al 36111 in memory of Shannon W.
