Danny Hawkins

Danny Hawkins age 62 died February 4, 2020 in Montgomery after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Pintlala  Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Danny is survived by his brother, Craig Hawkins, Niece Becky Hawkins, nephew Jake Hawkins and a close friend Judy Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Cathryn Hawkins. Danny was born in Dothan, AL  January  28, 1958. He moved to montgomery as a child where he graduated high school in 1976 from Hooper Academy. He attended Troy University in 1976 where he received a business Marketing Degree and a minor in Fraternity. He continued to live on the family estate in Fleta, AL until his death. He worked at Bass Pro Shop in Prattgville until health issues forced him to resign. Danny's passion was rodeo and riding bucking horses. He enjoyed the free spirited life and made many friends across the country. He was involved in the fraternity Pi Kappa Phi at Troy University where he was a leader and made lifetime friends and brothers.  He also enjoyed hunting where he helped start a family business in Eufaula. Danny's remains will be placed in Eufaula  at the Rocky Mount Cemetery with his family members.
