Daniel Long

Daniel Robert Long, age 79, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Veterans Garden at Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Long loved his church, grandchildren and family.  He was a giving and generous man.  He was a retired Master Sgt. with the USAF who served during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel (Sharon) Long, Jr., and David (Kristin) Long; daughter, Daun Lee Pittman; grandchildren, HeartLee Pittman, PresLee Pittman, Lindy Long, Alyssa Long and Justin Long; sister, Shirley Washington.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Nell Long; parents, Austin Long and Mary Stokes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Riverview Baptist Church in Troy.  The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Long family.
