Dale Powell

Dale Powell, age 67, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023.  Visitation will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Green Hills Funeral Home with a Chapel service at 3:00pm.  Rev. Bo Weed officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jason Brookshire, Bryson Brookshire, Shannon Powell, Ben Powell, Paul Davis, and Jimmy Whitehead.  
As a painter by trade, Dale could make all sorts of household repairs, as well as paint and trim.   He was a talented singer and songwriter who recorded a few songs and even auditioned at Opryland.  He enjoyed fishing and landscaping and took pride in making the yard look beautiful! Dale will be missed by all who knew him.
Loving survivors include his daughter, Abby Powell Brookshire (Jason); grandchildren, Jackson Parker Reeves, Bryson Lee Brookshire, Faith Alexandra Brookshire; his beloved parents, Bobby D. & Opal D. Powell; sister, Sharon Powell Watkins; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Butch Powell and Dean Powell.
