Christy Howard

Christy LaViner Howard, age 45, of Troy, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, December 10, 2021.  Visitation will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Green Hills Funeral Home with a Chapel Service at 2:00pm.  Rev. Dusty Taylor and Rev. Steve Winton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Green Hills Cemetery with Lewis Howard, John Hogan, Preston Parrish, David LaViner, Jeffrey Knight, and James Howard serving as pallbearers.  Corey Calhoun and Holt Steed will be Honorary Pallbearers.

As a kind and loving mother, Christy adored her children and had big dreams for each of them.  Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she did her best to share the joy and magic of the season with her family.  She loved writing poetry and reading books. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter who was cherished by her family and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Christy was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Alston LaViner and her grandfather, David LaViner.  Those left behind to cherish her beloved memory are her husband, Charles “Chuck” Howard; her children, Brianna Howard, Haley Howard, Blake LaViner, Maxwell LaViner, Jaxson Howard, Paxton Howard; parents, Bruce & Debbie Jo LaViner; sister, Merla Jo LaViner; brother, David LaViner; grandmother, Mary Frank LaViner; and special child, Hannah Bell Hays.
