Betty Irene Starling

Betty Irene Starling, age 79 of Troy, died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Troy Health & Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Locklar and Rev. Donnie Dunn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Starling was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Starling is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Davis and husband, Glen Starling; father, Harmon Dease; mother, Mattie Poole; sister, Margaret Dorrill, sister, Laura Jean Adams; daughter, Mary Ann Davis; great grandson, Justin Mills.  She is survived by three sons, Walter Davis, Jr. (Betty Jo), Bobby Davis (Vanessa) and Billy Davis; one daughter, Joyce Prescott (Bobby Jack); grandchildren Lisa Hudley, Donna Mills, Kim Davis, Brandon Davis, Lee Davis, Lakin Langston and Wes Davis; great grandchildren, Bryan Teal, Ryan Davis, Shylbe Davis and Cierra Davis.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
