Anelia J. Berry

Anelia J. Berry of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on June 26, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Lola Johnson, siblings, Ruby J. Thompson, Sarah J. Coggins, Joe Tex Johnson, and Janice J. Dunn. She is survived by husband Clayton Berry of Montgomery, AL, and siblings, Dorothy J. Oliver, Celia J. Green and Robbie J. Barnes.

Anelia graduated from Troy University where she completed post graduate work and taught at Pike County High School for her entire teaching career and retired in 1997. She was an excellent cook and loved developing new recipes that were enjoyed by all her family and friends. Her greatest recipe was her 22-layer chocolate cake.

A private family service was held at Green Hills in Troy, Alabama.  The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Berry family.
