Amos Fortune

Amos Herman Fortune, age 73, a lifelong resident of Troy, Alabama, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Shirlie Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Fortune is survived by his son, Johnny Fortune (Michelle) of Florida; daughter, Jennifer Caver (Bill) of Troy; grandchildren, Amber Fortune, Joshua Fortune, David Fortune, and Michael Fortune; sisters, Judy Kraft (Wayne), Jane Ellis, Joan Price (Keith), and Winnie Perkins (Jack); brothers, Leon Fortune (Sharon) and Gene Fortune (Jean); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Vader Allen Fortune; siblings, Marie Senn, Ruby Maulden, Oliver Fortune, and half-brother, Elvin Allen.
