Allen Rendall Rainey

Allen Rendall Rainey passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the age of 81 after a sudden illness.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Zion Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Carey Mauldin officiating.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be, Al Williamson, Gene Shriver, Dean Rainey, Jeff Mobley, Brayden Knolls and Cody Kelley. Honorary pallbearer will be Andy Williamson. 

Rendall lived his entire life in Troy, AL and Jack, AL.  He was employed as a helicopter mechanic at Fort Rucker for over 40 years.  He enjoyed working his garden and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Loving survivors include his wife of 17 years, Sylvia Rainey; son, David Rainey (Jennifer); daughter, Amanda Spears; stepsons, Al Williamson (Amanda) and Andy Williamson; grandchildren, Lance Rainey (Kymber), Raegan Rainey, Brandon Chancellor (Savannah), and JoAnne Spears; sister, Runnette Mobley (Jerry); brothers, Ronnie Rainey (Mae), Roy Rainey (Mary), and Raiford Rainey; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.  Rendall was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Kelley Rainey; daughter, Pamela Rainey; father, Herman Rainey; mother, Annie Pearl Rainey; and stepson, Scott Chancellor.
